Our Philosophy

We believe families are the core of a healthy culture, which begins with a happy, strong marriage followed by a sound family. Our service was designed as a strategic ministry to meet real needs of families. We do this by creating avenues where each member of the family can benefit and be enriched, plus more. Extended outside the family, Christian Sitters reaches to teens/students and mature Christian adults.

After witnessing dozens of families crisis situations, with divorces on the rise, Derek Moore heard the call of the Lord and founded the Christian Sitter Network in September 2005 with the following objectives:

• To build marriages by encouraging and enabling couples to go on dates and/or spend alone time
• To bless parents and young children by providing Christian sitters to interact creatively and compassionately with the children they sit
• To mentor and manage young students/teens by intentionally teaching them valuable Christian life skills and leadership principles
• To provide mature Christian adults the opportunity both to minister and to generate income as they serve as “sitter coaches” for young women.

Our organizational model, along with our biblically-based training curriculum, make it simple for families in any community to benefit from Christian Sitter Network. We envision churches and organizations across the country working with us to meet the needs of families in their own home communities.

Christian Sitters Network is currently located in Katy and Houston, TX, with prospect locations in Dallas, TX, and Chicago, IL, coming soon.
